The perfect replacement.
I have a track light system branded 'Biard' and needed a couple more lights. Though the brand wasn't mentioned they are identical to what I already have, so very pleased in that regard. The only thing I don't like about the light, and this is true of the original ones I bought a few years ago, is that the the LED lamp is a permanent fixture inside the unit so it can't be replaced. Let's hope that in 10 years time these are still available.

Good price does what I want it to.
On my OMs I used Hoya but I figure that after 30 years of development these will be good too. I just like an extra bit of glass in front of the lens for when I fall over! It's much thinner than the Hoyas I have on my OMs but even so the Petal Hood will need a bit of 'carving' as there is just a bit of encroachment and shadow. More to do with the hood I suspect.

Bright!
Product gave the expected increase in brightness and presumably much longer battery life. Only downside is that due to the thickness of the base, presumably housing a few bits of electronics, the adjustment of the beam spread is somewhat reduced. Having said that still a HUGE improvement over the old bulb, so I'm looking for my other Mini Maglite to upgrade that too.
