Fast computer for data intensive usage.
I recently upgraded to Pro Tools 12 and needed a computer that keep up with the required minimum specs. It's an LE system but I'm constantly maxing out my track count along with running video simultaneously (I work in Post). The i7 is more than capable of handling the software and the 8GBs of RAM keep it from lagging and freezing up on me every two seconds (as was the case with a brand new i5 Mac Mini I bought but had to return as it was horrible at multitasking). This computer is fast can handle me doing multiple tasks at once. I also swapped out one of 4GB ram cards for an 8GB card, which thanks to the fact that this is a 2012 model, was simple and a breeze. The only drawback I've had with it is that the computer can get a bit warm fairly quickly. So far it hasn't proven to be problematic, but I also know I'm pushing it pretty hard on a consistent basis. I would highly recommend this computer if you need something that's compact, but still pretty powerful.
