Intense ensemble piece which will keep you guessing. Unusual setting for horror, a nice change.
Nicely creepy, uncanny. Good cast. More to it than just 'the new Wicker Man' label which it has inevitably gathered. Not that comparison with 'The Wicker Man' is any bad thing, you understand! And of course because of time and place all the odd things happen in broad daylight - for a change - rather than in the shadows.

Complex characters intelligently explored.
A very good telling of the life stories of a very original and interesting group of friends. Good casting. Also they filmed in Charleston itself (one of the real houses) which adds depth. I loved that it was more centred on Vanessa (Bell) for a change rather than the better known sister Virginia (Woolf).
