a doozey of a story
This is an interesting docu-movie. It is accurate in the facts it states about the government's reaction to, and cover-up of, unidentified flying objects. And it represents real life people involved in these stories, but uses actors to rep them (and of course most would have to be given the original dates). Great footage. interesting scenarios, plenty to get even the most skeptical scratching their heads. This DVD is not an original, nor is it a used copy of an original, but a copy (I believe) from a VHS tape. I don't believe this tape was ever re-mastered as a DVD. But this seller has done a great job transferring the tape to a DVD format. The quality is excellent. There is one spot where the visual shimmies, but given the age of the tape, I find that absolutely acceptable. This tape is not full of questionable interviews with even more questionable characters, but instead presents historical material with plenty of references with their own gravitas. There are a lot of tapes out there about the UFO phenomenon, many of which are not worth owning. This is not one of them.

try to find the scent
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich Well, for candle wax that is promoted as "super scented" it barely has any scent at all. Very disappointing. There is a vague hint of something but no balsam and a smidge of berries. It has more scent unmelted than melted.

solid acting, intriguing premise
It's hard to find an older UFO film without either bad acting, cheesy music, or horrible special effects. This movie delivers on all 3 points. I really like Darren McGavin. He's always a solid performer. The UFO model is an interesting design, and there is less about government conspiracy and more thoughtful dialogue about why the aliens might be interested in us. I won't tell the ending or what the aliens looked like. Watch it. I think it's a solid addition to any UFO movie collection.
