Great for Birding, Tripod not required
Love the image stabilized binoculars. This is my second pair. Bought Canons' 10x32 many years ago and love them. Wanted something with a bit more power. They are pricey, but if you want to see fine detail while bird watching IS binocular's are the only way to go. I can't compare them to any other brands, but I am a Canon guy. Also have two Canon cameras.
Must say, Canon could do better with the soft feel coating on the housing. Like many other people have commented, the coating gets sticky and needs to be removed. At any rate I bought a second pair and I love them. I will give my 10x32 to my wife to use when we go birding.
