Excellent educational value

The squares are 6' x 6" - not the 12x12. They make about a 4' x 4' square if attached together. My grandson loves the alphabet and we needed something smaller than those giant squares. This is perfect for him. It has 2 complete sets of the alphabet plus the numbers 0 thru 9. It comes in a beautiful carrying case so he can take them wherever he goes. The fact that they are the small letters makes it less of an inconvenience when he takes them to someone else's house. They are durable and give enough cushion if he walks or sits on them. If you're looking to cover an entire floor, buy a rug. If your intent is to educate your child in a playful manner, these are exactly what you need. He uses them to spell words so the extra set of letters is very handy. As he gets older he may need a second set so he can spell bigger words that have the same letter multiple times. These would make a perfect gift for any child. I've considered giving them out as baby shower gifts. We are 100% completely satisfied with our purchase.
