got the money? Get the metal one.
Decided to buy the younger brother of the metal Garlic Press to see if the concepts were good. As long as you don't fill the bowl with too many cloves and take the skin off of half of them, it works really well. The skin ejector only lifts the center of the bowl, but that is usually good enough. the minced garlic scraper gets most of the garlic off, but having a flat implement nearby will ensure you get it all.
Dishwasher gets most of the garlic skins, but nooks and crannies need to be checked.
All-in-all, it's a good kitchen tool for the price. Construction looks sturdy.

Better than capsules
My cardiologist allowed me to drop my 1,000mg Omega-e capsules in exchange for me using Carlson's Olive My Heart olive oils with 1,480mg Omega-3s.
The taste and flavor make the switch even easier. Eating a salad with Carlson oile oil on it is so much for fun and flavorful than a capsule.

"A Must Have" for your computer Library
This book was written in the mid-1990's, when the Internet was a baby and the workings of the Computer were still understood by only a few. Sure, the information is readily available on the Web, now, but if you want to learn about how a Computer works (and why) and you want to understand the Computer and the Internet - this is your book. the new editions are good, too, but this early edition spells things out clearly and simply so that the reader can grasp the concepts and teh terminology.
I have used this book (and this edition) in my Intro to Computers classes since the late 1990's. If I have a student who wants to become an IT technician - this is the book I steer them to. I don't have too many left, because I tend to give them away to serious students.
