Newer "take" on the Classic Ray-Ban Avia...
Newer "take" on the Classic Ray-Ban Aviator sunglasses-- the Metal II has flattened "temples" (the "ear-bars/hooks"). Slight nasal pad and ear-rest adjustments were necessary, and these sunglasses now fit comfortably. The violet lenses are easy on the eyes, and have some interesting optical properties-- some colors appear more vibrant and, in spite of the dark lens color, they function fairly well, even in crepuscular lighting conditions. 5*/A+++

Nice, classic Ray-Ban Aviator sunglasses. Slight nasal pad and ear-rest adjustments were necessary; now fit comfortably. The green-"flash"- mirrored tint is startling, and attracts attention (I have received MANY compliments). 5*/A+++

Nice item. Does the job.
This is the second time I am purchasing this item. From my previous review:

I initially needed to adjust for the difference in weight (this item is MUCH lighter than comparable a plated brass, stainless steel, and/or zinc alloy butterfly-closure double-edged safety razor) and resist the urge to apply pressure when using this razor.
This razor, initially appeared to be dubiously rickety/flimsy, but tightened nicely when a double-edged razor blade was inserted, with no blade movement, and decent, even blade "reveal".
The shave was comparable to my other, more expensive, butterfly-closure and screw-down top-cap, double-edged, straight/flat safety bar razors (Merkur, Parker, Mühle, and Van Der Hagen), requiring my standard three with-the-grain, cross-grain, and against-the-grain passes with soap, and one against-the-grain "wet" "finishing" pass without soap, which I use with my other safety-bar razors.
The shave left minimal stuble (for a closer shave, I would need to use one my open-comb/rake double-edged safety razors, or straight razors), with no irritation.
The hard-case travel box, with a small shaving mirror affixed inside the lid, and cleaning brush are nice added features.
Once I put this razor "through its paces", and I was able to evaluate its performance, I was surprisingly pleased: for the price, it gives remarkably good value.

I have, therefore, purchased this second butterfly-closure, double-edged, straight-safety-bar razor in a hard travel case for my nephew, who is just beginning to learn how to shave.
