Reliable little machine

When it arrives, you have to first extend the little wire arm fully. That means that you have to pull on it until you feel quite a resistance, and then, using both hands and taking a deep breath, pull on it some more so that it clicks into place. Only in this position will the little yarn guide stay up and do the winding correctly.
Fix the winder to your table by loosening the red button and then tightening it again, then thread the yarn through the guiding arm and across the top of the cylinder. Keep an even tension on the yarn with your hand while winding, and you won't have any trouble at all!

Good registers for your checkbook
Very good check registers that fit into your checkbook. Every second line is slightly greyed, so that it's very easy to ready what you wrote in. Be prepared to have to write really small, though, because the lines are quite close together.

Gorgeous, but very stiff fabric
This is a very good quality velvet, deep black with good pile, but the backing feels almost like a piece of plastic. It's very thick, almost 1/8", and very heavy. I could see it used for upholstery, but I think it would be too stiff even for heavy curtains if you wanted more than a few folds in them. I would have needed it as a lining for a dress, but it was far too stiff for that. So depending on your need, this could be a good buy - or not.
