A Lifetime Skillet
I have cooked on cast iron for over 50 years but it is only in the last 3 that I have started to use it on a daily basis. I received the Lodge 12 inch skillet with the lid for Christmas, set out to figure it out. Like another reviewer said, you put in some effort on the front side the results will be better. Smooth the cooking surface down with sandpapers of decreasing grit and season it with a neutral oil at low temps. Have patience, don't freak if it rusts, just get some oil on it.
The biggest thing I want to stress is that without the lid you only have a skillet. With the lid you have a cooking SYSTEM that can be regulated by using the vents on the side to release or hold in moisture. Experimentation is the fun part of it. Lower temps and even heating are so cool, indoors to outdoor use as well. The original nonstick!

Miracle stuff!!
2 von 2 finden das hilfreich I purchased this product for a seven year old small mixed breed dog, Molly. She has been diagnosed with kidney failure and has the blood tests that bear out that diagnosis. Molly was very lethargic, not eating because of the nausea that the build-up of uremia was causing, BAD breath, all of the symptoms. The vet was sympathetic, advised some costly meds and food and basically said "we are here when she needs to be put down". I did some reading but couldn't find anything that was good news. After a tearful weekend my girlfriend and I decided Molly would be put down on Tuesday, she had not ate in 3 days and was being lifted into our bed that she normally jumped into.
On Tuesday she woke up and her tail was wagging, she looked better than she had for two weeks. I took her for a walk, she was actually trotting a bit. I decided to hold off and on a whim ran a search on phosphorus blockers. This showed up, (Epakitin); I told Molly to hang on for 4 more days and we would give this a shot. Also read about Azodyl being used in conjunction.
3 weeks later it is as if I have a Molly from years ago. 2 meals a day, fixed by me that include both of the meds. The dog actually SPRINTS when we take walks although she is still lethargic. She is a pickier eater but in my opinion this is miracle stuff. I was within an hour of putting her down....Now I expect to get much more time together. It will not cure the KD but it can seriously slow it down! I HIGHLY recommend this product as well as Azodyl!

Inexpensive and they work!!!!
These are very nice replacement cords for Apple Ipods and phones at a fraction of the cost. Buy several and keep them where you need them.
