Can be used freestanding or clip on to a shelf.
Light operates off either installed AAA batteries or the supplied USB cord powered off a PC / laptop or powerbank, light emits a good light for reading etc and can be mounted on a multitude of surfaces or freestanding on a desk using the combined base / clip. Very useful and safe for kids to use as no mains voltage and more importantly no heat from the long life LED`s .

Great reference source for family historians.
I bought this publication as an aid to family history and found it to be very useful as it contained several references to past family members and got a feel for the life they lead in the village of Bishop Burton and beyond.
