Nifty and versatile
Most useful adapter to get the best out of many excellent Sony products of the past (inc. cameras and computer games) for which the old-style Sony Memory-Stick Pro cards have been completely superseded. Microcards as low as 1GB capacity (e.g. for cameras) and much higher capacity for games work well in this adapter.

Facilities you wished were still around on modern devices
The most attractive feature about this hard disk/DVD recorder is that you can dub from the HD to the DVD, and thus have backup copies of programmes (or DVDs to give to your friends). This is a feature that is rarely available (if at all) these days on TV recorders. The various catchup facilities on more modern TV recorders are fine, but for those who want a personal archive, this model is useful. Only one channel can be recorded at one time, though.
There are many modes of compression you can use to record, (High definition, SD, LP etc) depending on how important you think the actual picture quality needs to be. Thus, on a 250 gb hard disk, you can store a substantial amount of recording.
Other features are a useful editing facility, capacity to play MP3s and view JPEGs. Playing some types of compressed video formats are possible (but not MP4s).
Storing from tape recordings from video cameras is also possible, and rapid DVD backup from an original DVD. Line-in recordings from old videos too.

A valuable addition to New Testament scholarship.
Though the subject matter is not entirely new, Prof Wilson provides convincing arguments as to why the Jesus revealed by Paul is so different from the Jesus of the Gospels. Perhaps unique to his argument is his centring on the details of the Jerusalem Conference given in Acts as an important clue to the enigma.
And Professor Wilson's style is a model of clarity, able to convey somewhat complex matters in a manner easily accessible to the intelligent layperson.
