For an album of B Sides, this is astounding.
Lost Tapes has far exceeded my already high expectations, as some of these tracks are absolutely the best Royksopp have ever produced.
As I listen in pure shock and awe to the overwhelmingly spectacular "Rescue" I am once again reminded of these guys' formidable talent. For an album of B Sides, this is astounding.
Every single track on this album is pure gold, but "Rescue", "Across the Graveyard", "I Just Don’t Understand You", the epic, slow-burning "Shores of Easy", and the closer "Were You Ever Wanted?" stand out most.
Rarely have I been this astonished on a first listen, and it really is hard to believe these songs have not been released before, but I am so glad they have been now.
Absolutely awe-inspiring.
