Outstanding Art Book!
This is by far the most beautiful Group of Seven art book I have seen yet. There is a great deal of content, and the paintings/drawings are very vivid. I looked for a 1st edition copy like this for a while, because I wanted the art pictures to be larger. After coming across the compact edition recently, the difference in size isn't really that noticeable. The main factor I observed is that you can more comfortably hold the compact edition in hand while reading or looking through it. The 1st edition (original) is more of a true "coffee table" book. You would most likely want to look through it while resting it on a flat surface. That should be taken into consideration when deciding which copy to purchase. Other than that, they are equally impressive. Although not likely, I hope someday publish a follow up with entirely different content.
