Great optics for the money, but ...
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich This Chinese made binocular is heavy but with a good feeling of solidity. The view is very good for the price, sharp and bright with field flattening lenses that give a crisp image to almost the edge of the wide 8 degree view, but the downside of this is that is suffers from some "rolling ball" effect when you pan left to right or up and down. The view itself is very relaxing due to the wide field of view and there is plenty of eye relief for people who wear glasses. The focussing was smooth and even. The dioptre had to be set quite far off centre for my eyes, which is not an indication of quality, as it is usally set for zero on quality binoculars, although this did not affect the view. The left exit pupil was also truncated, although the right one was almost a perfect circle. Despite these small defects, I was going to keep these bins until I realised that there was a piece of plastic rattling around inside them quite noticeably, so they were returned. It's a shame, because they are good bins for the money if you get a good pair.

Not as good as expected
I bought these binoculars with high hopes, having read some very encouraging reviews online, however, they turned out to be pretty average. The view was good but not great, and lacked any real punch. Focussing was fine - I didn't struggle with the high gearing. The handling was good and the rubber armour felt nice in the hand. The focus wheel was well placed and not too high up the body, unlike the new Mark IV model. Two things made me return these :
1) There was some slack in the focussing, in both directions
2) The exit pupil in the left ocular was badly truncated
They were generally good for the price that I paid, but a bit underwhelming overall.

Optically excellent birding binoculars
These binoculars give a great view - sharp, bright and with excellent contrast. They have a very large 8.1 degree field of view and 18mm of eye relief, which should be enough for anyone with glasses to use comfortably. Although quite a large pair of bins, they handle well and the focussing wheel is well placed - not too close to the eyepieces. They give a very clear, crisp view, but the outstanding feature is the high levels of contrast, due to the use of ED glass, which make objects really stand out. The focussing is initially stiff, but starts to loosen-up with use. Highly recommended.
