Great Functional Light for what you Pay
I own, and use the actual Astro 40SL on a daily basis in my work as a field service technician. I compared this light with the actual Astro 40SL.
Overall construction is lacking in comparison to the Astro. The plastic on the Astro is glass reinforced as more in line with a legit tool plastic. It also has a anti slip coating which is great when you get oil, or fuel on the surface. This imitation light is made from a much less durable, chinsy plastic, and there is no positive grip coating.
Functionality wise- Light Brightness is the same, the imitation light seems a tad brighter actually. I fully charged both lights, and timed how long they last. They are both rated at 2.5hrs runtime at full brightness setting. After just under 2hrs- the Astro was noticeably dimmer, and the low battery light was flashing. At 2.5 Hours the Astro had completely turned off. The imitation began to be noticeably dimmer after 3.5hrs. The light was still on, but extremely dim at 4.5hrs, and the low battery light was still NOT flashing. The light was off, and dead at 5-1/4hours. Recharge time was approximately just over 4hrs for both lights.
The reason the imitation unit lasts longer than the Astro is because the battery in the Astro has a internal protection circuit from heat, and complete discharge. Both units operate from 1-18650 lion cell. The Astro comes with a 2200mah internally protected cell whereas the imitation has a 3400mah cell that is not internally protected.
Using the light in the field. The Astro comes with a 20lb magnet affixed to its base. The imitation model comes with maybe a 7-8lb magnet. I actually prefer the lighter magnet as the 20lb magnet is a bit much when you're trying to move the light. It will scratch the hell out of whatever it is stuck to. After a week, it so the imitation magnet/swivel assembly had completely fallen apart, and the screw had stripped out the plastic is screws into. After reassembling, and beefing up its rigidity with epoxy- it has been solid, and working without any issues ever since. The Astro eventually came to this same fate- it just took nearly two months, and that magnet is a real ass kicker..
Overall I still prefer the Astro over the imitation, but I use them both very often, and they both work well. The Astro is more sturdy, and reinforced in its construction but it's also 5-6times the cost.
I would recommend this light. It's like anything cheap you buy. They're all great ideas- you just need to make them a little beefier when you get them home. Understanding, Patience, and epoxy can get you a pretty decent worklight for cheap money.

Better than nothing, but not much..
2 von 2 finden das hilfreich It's a 4" adjustable wrench!! RIGHT?? It is. I'm really trying to give these cheaper tools an honest go here. I'm not a complete tool snob either. I use what works for the task at hand. Cranking nuts, and bolts off doesn't require anything too special..
This wrench for me gets carried in my pocket. I currently carry a 4" blue point. I bought this as a cheaper alternative for a friend. Comparing the Tekton to the BluePoint... well; it's just not a comparison. The main issue with adjustables(any brand) is the amount of slop in the sliding jaw, and with this it's A LOT!! With the slop comes the inherent tendency for the wrench to loose its adjustment really quickly. So for me, I'd give this to my 12yr Old son, but not a coworker.
I own, and use other tekton tools, and they work great for their intended purposes. The customer service is spot on. You break a tool, fill out their online claim form, and a replacement comes in the mail in a few days.. I've always had positive experiences with them, and will continue to purchase, and use their products.. But I'm always going to be honest about the purchases I make.. Regardless of the manufacturer..
