TiVo Bolt is fantastic!
Very, very easy to setup. On screen instructions are great, easy to program remote to work TV and separate soundbar. Menu is awesome, recording is seamless. System presents options for streaming (Amazon, Netflix, Hulu and Vudu) as well as options to record. Insert CableCard from your provider and it automatically scans. Works with TiVo Mini setup on another machine through the existing coax cables (do anything, including stream, from the Mini as if it were the Bolt without the need for any other subscription). If you can't quite "cord cut", this is the way to go. $4.99 monthly for me for the CableCard vs $20 for DVR service and $12 per TV. Up front cost is a little more obviously, but then it starts to pay off quickly. After the first year, just $14.99 per month for the TiVo service (first year is free). The menu system and search is by far superior, it's not even close.
