only device I have found that can record multichannel surround sound.
Hauppauge HD PVR2 Gaming Edition Plus is the only device I have found that can record Dolby Digital 5.1 multichannel surround sound.
Video can be recorded up to 1080p25/30. Some other units can record higher resolution &/or higher frame rates but with only 2 channel stereo audio.
For my purposes I prefer having the multichannel audio.
