Works very well especially after rebuilding!
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich I was looking for a long ratchet but didn’t want to pay 200+ dollars to get one off a truck. Picked up this old used one which originally had 32 teeth but the rebuild for it has 36 teeth. One complaint, when rebuilding, the new spring and ball that allow the pawl to change direction are waaaaaay too tight. I couldn’t even move the on/off lever with two thumbs on it! So I used the old spring and ball for the pawl. Had to keep messing with the spring tension a few times. Works fine now. It’s not all that necessary to have 80 teeth on a big 1/2”.

Find a good 80 tooth mechanism on eBay or a special offer with a franchisee and bask in the glory and value of these ratchets. You’ll want to sleep with it the first night you own it. You’ll want to show all your friends just how smooth and quiet the mechanism really is. To the point that they stop wanting to be your friend. (Until they buy their own F80). Also, don’t tell your significant other how much you spent on ratchets because they will immediately expect an equal amount of money to be spent on their wants. Buts it’s different, ok?! These are tools that will earn me money for a lifetime! Steak and sushi will only fill you up for a night! Buy snap-on ratchets and transcend the ranks of harborfreight and craftsman. Now if you’ll pardon me, I hear the snap on truck pulling up and he will come looking for me.
