How to bring a Pioneer BDP LX-91 back to life.
I have a superb Pioneer reference Blu-ray player. Unfortunately it has a known issue. The original drive transports were known to fail. Mine still played CD's and DVD's, however it failed to recognise or play Blu-rays. The solution is to replace the drive transport unit. My player is now better than new. Replacing a 2008 unit, with one manufactured in September 2014. There is nothing like a BDP LX-91, plumbed into a Kuro series 9, 60" plasma screen and a SC LX-81 AV Amplifier. :-) I can highly recommend this drive transport, which I had professionally installed by a Pioneer qualified engineer.

Excellent movie, enhanced by remaster on Bluray.
Forget 50 Shades. Secretary is way more informed and insightful. James Spader is as always magnetic and charismatic on screen. Maggie Gyllenhaal is excellent as the damaged, insular young woman, who blossoms in this extraordinary relationship. Love is what two people find together. It may not be societies idea of love, it may be considered, warped, twisted, even depraved by some. What this wonderful movie shows, is the way two individuals find their way to each other and give wholeheartedly what each needs to the other. Leave any preconceptions you may have behind. You never know, you may just find your own path to love and happiness.
I love this movie, so much so, that despite owning it on DVD, I purchased it on Bluray. It definitely benefits from the upgrade. I have a Pioneer 60" plasma screen and a reference Bluray player and surround sound AV system. The image is sublime and the sound is excellent. I passed my DVD copy onto a friend.

Excellent washer/dryer, nice and quiet.
Nice replacement for my very old Zanussi WDJ1285. Large capacity, though not quite sufficient for a double duvet. Very quiet in operation, even on maximum spin speed. Machine is very stable when spinning. Very satisfied with the quality of the wash. My only minor issue is the length of the wash cycle, over 4 hours for a 60° cotton wash, excluding drying cycle.
