It works!
This is the same item I had used for years, Yes it's outdated but it does the job and has the features I wanted. The first one failed, but nothing last forever.

One small flaw....
Easy to install and works great. The one down side is the mounting holes is not correctly placed, by 1/4". Once I opened this up, it fit perfect.

Best printer I have ever owned.
3 von 3 finden das hilfreich I am a technician, and have worked with, and worked on both laser and ink jet printers ever since they became available to the consumer. This includes the $20 throw away’s and the $20,000 commercial laser units. I hate ink jets, always out of ink or streaks. Lasers were always to expensive. I saw this and was skeptical, but decided to give it a try. WOW, this is the best thing since sliced bread for the home user.
On the positive side, it has excellent print, better than a lot of commercial unit I have seen. It has multiple input choices, USB, Ethernet or WIFI. (I use Ethernet on my home LAN). It is a MFP unit so you get fax, scan and print. (I have used all of them). For me it was easy to set up, just follow the instructions. I’ve read about people having problems with it going off line. In over two months, not a single problem for me, haven’t even turned it off because it has a power saving sleep mode. The price was right, and did I mention the print quality? Fantastic! It also has a rather small footprint for a color MFP laser unit. (Actually it is a LED printer, not a true LASER. Better if you ask me.) I also found that even though it was sold by DELL, the oem is Fuji-Xerox I believe.)
There are some down sides. It only has a 150 sheet paper tray. The ADF for fax and scan is only ~15 pages, but it does have a flat bed scanner. If you must use DELL toner, it IS expensive. The three color cart yield ~1400 pages and the black ~2000 pages. This may be OK for home and small business only, not high volume. I’m not shy about printing but that will last me a long time. As far as toner is concerned, there are cheaper generic toner sets for less than $50 for the four color set. I ordered a set for ~$40 that had good reviews, and the quality of print was as good as the oem in normal use. There may be a very slight difference on pictures, but only if compared side by side with oem toner. The same can be said for color ink cart for ink-jet printers. By the way, the printer I bought registered with DELL for a full warranty, plus I bought the $30 two year extended warranty just in case. This is the first printer that I have actually liked and I like it more every time I use it!
