Perfect replacement, easy to fit, worked first time
I have just fitted this salt cell. The old one was very badly encrusted with light green crystals, and when I removed it, the terminals were badly corroded so it was not redeemable with a hydrochloric acid bath. The new one is an exact replacement and was easy to fit. I found a video for a similar fitting on YouTube. You just turn off the power, undo the plastic retaining ring, photograph the connectors to be sure you know what is going to go back where, then take out the old cell and put in the new cell. I had to lever the old cell out gently with a large flat screwdriver but it came easily enough - the rubber ring seal tends to keep it tightly in. I had to cut the cable back a bit as it was affected by the corroded terminals - you have to make sure you are attaching nice clean wires. Upon reassembly there were no leaks, the salt level indicates as Normal, and you can actually see the salt cell electrodes bubbling as chlorine is produced. The pump is not straining so much either.
