Best of Mick Jagger-limited cd/dvd 2007.
I am a life long Stones fan. However, I could never figure out why they didn't include more blues type songs on their albums which is what they love and are great at. 'Cook Cook Blues' for example-why didn't they include more tracks like that on their albums and why did they waste their time with songs like 'Hold on to your hat'? I always thought that Mick was worried about what would sell more. They have come out with some amazing albums, but could have come out with much more great 'stuff'. Mick talks about writing too much Country in the dvd part of this set. Why not do a whole Country album? We would love it! Especially if the songs are as amazing as 'Far away eyes'. The 'Best of Mick Jagger' dvd is fun to watch. Even in Mick's advanced age the 'Mick smile' is ever present. There is a candid, interesting interview with him,followed by the videos that he talks about. After I watched the dvd, I couldn't help but ask, why didn't he include 'Hard woman'? This is a wonderful song (She's the Boss) and in my opinion, the 'Hard woman' video is the best music video of all time! If you haven't seen it, you can find it and watch it on the internet. As far as the track listing, again, I think Mick plays it safe here and doesn't include all of his greatest hits. It's definately a collection for the collection if you are a fan of Mick's solo work and or the Stones. It's $$ well spent though, as you can get this set new including shipping for $10 or less. Rock on Mick!

Living Theatre-Joseph Baldassare 2002 (Buddha Bar)
Anything 'Buddha Bar' related is excellent and this is no exception. It includes a great cover of Peggy Lee's 'Fever'. If you are a fan of the 'Buddha Bar' series, this is a must for the collection. Check it out, and then you will want the other 'Living Theatre' cd's! I am a HUGE fan of the Capitol records 'Ultra Lounge' series of cd's. Though the music of 'Buddha Bar' is completely different, it's the first series of cd's since 'Ultra Lounge' that I've become addicted to. 'Buddha Bar' cd's are VERY expensive, but if you have a lot of patience, you can find deals on them on eBay. I've even found them for a buck at yard sales! My rating on this cd-EXCELLENT.
