A classic addition to my library

cheap, but not worth it
The price and size were right (needed a small machine due to limited counter space), but I ended up buying another machine that works better. The coffee maker was fine, but the expresso machine is clunky: hard to remove/insert the grounds holder, you have to insert a plug to cap the grounds holder to redirect the steam through the milk frother - a totally pain. I definitely recommend investing another 100.00 and getting a better machine.

Good value for money, nice expresso maker
Strengths: good value and functionality for the money. I really like the expresso maker - the water reservoir so you don't have to fill every time, the distinct setting for making expresso vs. frothing milk, the ease of inserting and removing the grounds holder. I like that there are separate on/off push buttons for the expresso maker vs the coffee maker - and that they buttons are on the top of the machine (so I don't accidently turn the machine on when wiping the counters like I constantly did with my old coffee machine that had loose toggle button on/off at the bottom of the machine).
Shortcomings: at first, it sputtered and splatted a lot when I made expresso, until I learned to really pack down the expresso grounds in the holder; the coffee is not that hot straight from brewing (but the hot pad is very hot, so it does heat up; the frother is not that strong (was actually stronger on a cheaper machine I bought).
