Great Book for Young Readers
This is a book I remember from the day. Brings the reader back and puts the in the shoes of those who experienced those monumental days. You can see the British uniforms, sense their arrogance, stand with the minutemen on Lexington green, and run with those Patriots who came from far off tiwns and farms to harass the retreating British. I have since learned two of my great-grandfathers were among those who fought and harried the British all thr way back to Boston. This book, though simple in language, is powerful in teaching a young person about standing up for rights of the individual and fighting for those rights against tyranny.
Highly recommended.
