They won’t melt your face
If you like indie rock you will like this. And it’s an all girl band which brings up the excitement level because there are not that many all girl bands around. Well there’s the Donna’s. Theres Hole, but they have one dude so they don’t really count. Anyway, the Skirts have cool chord musings and simplistic but fun lyrics. And they’re a bit naughty too. Hence the title “Take off” I really enjoy hearing something different without tons of Eddie Van Halen type lead solos in so many rock bands who take themselves too seriously. The Skirts just have good, tight songs and good structure and they don’t take need lead solos that melt your face. It’s nice to take a break from Journey, Van Halen, Led Zeppelin etc. and try something new. Indie girls rock!

Rough and ragged
Great songs. Rough and ragged like aged leather. This guy has been around the small bars and big arenas and commands them both. This cd sounds like you are at a small bar in the 60’s. The band is jamming and everyone is having a great time. You can smell the stale beer and the cigarettes and marijuana.

I’m glad they are back from the dead!
I have all the Spinal Tap cds and they are all great! The songs are well written and the humor is right on the money! I wish I could have seen them live! But then again they cancel most of their shows….
