Professional Quality Camera
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich Pick up the Canon 30D and right away you know you are holding a serious piece of kit. Unlike many DSLRs the chassis is metal, not plastic, and it feels solid in the hand. There are a pleasing number of controls for the photographer who likes to fine tune their shots, or you can fall back to the large array of programmed modes.
Detailed menus drill deep into the camera programming to allow a dizzy array of customising. Though strangely enough you cannot choose to use RAW mode when set to Auto. Frame rate can be set to single, 3FPS or a boastful 5FPS. The large dial on the back of the camera felt strange at first but I soon got used to it, and the ability to quickly disable it is handy to avoid unexpected changes once the camera is set properly.
The 17-85mm lens provides an excellent range for most purposes but at the expense of light loss.
Battery life is the best I have experienced in a DSLR.
If you are prepared to take the drop from 10 Mega Pixels offered by most medium range DSLRs on the market now to 8 then the Canon 30D offers a very affordable professional standard camera for the enthusiast.

Waterproofing
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich Bought this thing to let me mount a leisure battery on a trolley with my outboard motor without worrying about it shorting in heavy rain. Does that job nicely, came with a couple of useful straps to make sure the lid stays on in the wind. The only criticism I have is my battery finds it a snug fit, took some persuading to sit in it. Otherwise grand, does what I wanted.
