Smoking like a stream train but the wrong kind of smoke
0 von 2 finden das hilfreich I was looking for a spare model for an engine on my layout and I found this model to be the best to go for. I wasn't fussed on the livery as it was to be repainted. Upon arrival, I tested the model out on my layout to see how it would perform. Nothing happened at first but after I took the body off it ran smoothly. But just as I was picking up the chassis to put the body back on, I suddenly got burnt. After running a small circuit of my 4x6ft layout the motor was really hot and as I ran it again, I saw smoke starting to rise from the motor. The motor looked to be in perfect condition so I don't know why it should smoke and get hot like that after such a small run. It could be due to the motor's magnet loosing some strength but I'm not sure. Ah well, at least this type of chassis is changeable with the current Hornby ones.

A great edition to a collection
I've recently got into this show earlier this month and was amazed by the plot and character interactions. Series One is a great starting point and Series 2 continues, as the title says, where the adventure left off. Each character stays true to their roots with a few small and not too important changes in appearances.
The animation is nice and the voice acting is merit given that the events take place a year after the last series and the character will have to show signs of age.
My only criticism is that this Series ends on a serious cliffhanger and I have to wait till Series 3 is released in the English dub in order to know what happens, despite it being released in 2016 in the french dub.
But yeah I really liked this purchase and would recommend it to any fan of the original show, so long as they don't mind the changes in the character voices and animation style.
All and all a good buy.
