Dissapointing follow up.
Having recently read his first book The SEA DETECTIVE I was keen to read this follow up book.
However I was VERY disappointed with it, it appeared to me that he had made an attempt to include as many words as possible from the OED! His use of so many descriptive words in each sentence broke up the rhythm of the book and made for a hard read.
I was also expecting much more of the basis of the book, ie the detecting work regarding finding and solving of clues regarding mystery.
So all in all a disappointment and will prevent me from purchasing further novels of his.
