Brilliant and Entertaining
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich HAMNET is a compelling and revealing look into rural England of Shakespeare's time. Loosely based on the playwright's family, the reader is drawn into an empathetic and sympathetic (and even loving) relationship with his wife and children. Author Maggie O'Farrell's writing is inventive, clear and a joy to read.

Mid-Century Heaven
,For anyone enamored with mid-20th century architecture and interior design, this book is a treasure. With extensive, beautiful documentary photography and fascinating copy, it's as close to making the reader feel like "an insider" in that glamorous, alas now gone, era. It is elegantly bound and produced and will no doubt serve as a valuable reference and inspiration for years to come.
