Significantly thinner than Ektalite
I have generally liked etone goods, and thought I'd give the fresnel a try. The refraction lines are very fine, and it has a smooth circle in the very center for critical focus. Dimensions side to side and top to bottom seem to be spot on, and it drops into a Graflex focusing panel as it should.
However, it's about 1mm thinner than the Ektalite screen it replaces, throwing the ground glass out of register. I wound up shimming mine with some carefully cut and measured paper. I still need to do some testing to confirm that my shims are getting critical focus.
Were it not for this flaw, this would be a superb value. As it is, that's a lot of work to make a forty-dollar drop-in part function properly. I'd rather pay more for a fresnel that's in spec or cobble together something on the cheap out of a page reader from Staples or the like.
I'm only writing this because I wish I'd seen such a review before I ordered it.

Genuine Nikon
Don't bother with 3rd party eyecups on Nikon Z. These are the real deal and the only way to go.
