My guess is they might have been a little too tight for whoever had them done as they were both a little tighter than factory new. No matter, put them on and broke in almost immediately. As a factory resole is $250 and a good show repair is $150, theses boots were extremely fairly priced at about half the cost of a complete resole. Couldn't be happier. They were packed perfectly.

Favorite Hardback, fountain pen friendly!
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich Firstly, its large enough to take good notes, especially if you don't have tiny handwriting. The paper is good, good enough to not bleed, shadow, or feather with large gobs of Noodler's ink, 54th Mass. to be exact.
Sturdy cover, tends to warp when it heats up but will return to original shape when it cools off.
Paper is white, VERY white and smooth with a nice finish. Has some tooth with a very fine pen.
My favorite hardback notebooks, good paper, good quality, good value for the money, AND I can get these local at Staples.
Highly recommend.
