Typical"sword and sandals" Italian "epic" using the Vesuvius eruption as an excuse for Reeves
Typical "sword and sandals" epic out of Italy, with Steve Reeves the proverbial hero of a famous city that didn't actually cough one up because of the Vesuvius thing! Special effects pretty cheesy, with stone buildings that clearly WEREN'T stone toppling everywhere like plywood. Reeves goes through his paces rescuing children for their mothers and lifting debris off buried people. As a Gladiator in the piece, Reeves was noticeably the ONLY highly muscled ones, the others were built like parakeets to, I assume, make Reeves stand out more. It's entertaining in parts but definitely not one for the historians to revel in. OK for what it was, but nothing brainy here.

"Tales" is cryptically delectable
This is the full 7-season series of the very off-the-wall chiller diller and it's a real treat to revisit it. The cheesy special effects make it all the more fun and campy!

pointless plot, wonderful song and dance!
Typical throw-away movie musical plot line, but backed by wonderful vocal and dance performances. Sir through the silly plot and stay in for the song and dance!
