Panorama of the west back in the 1970s

A great road trip movie, filmed in 1970, reflects that era very well. Great panoramic scenes of the west, particularly Colorado, Utah, and Nevada. An array of characters, from SuperSoul to the driver, Kowolski. Great trip to the past!

Great book for a deep dive into the Donner Party history!

Source material concerning the Donner Party of 1846-47 - including their journey west from Independence, MO to the Sierra Nevada. Kristen Johnson does a thorough job of interpreting this material. Highly recommend if you are a student of the Donner Party.
