Easy to use

This converter is very easy to use. Simply connect the HDMI lead(from your DVD player or computer say) to the input connector and then use a set of phono leads to connect from the 3 output phono connectors to your audio system and video monitor. the usual colour code applies. Yellow is video and red/white are R/L respectively. It can also be used to connect to your old VHS recorder should you wish to make copies on VHS for Luddites to watch !! It is NOT bi-directional. You cannot input sound and composite video in to the output connectors and get a HDMI signal from the input HDMI connector. You would need a different device to do that.

Superlux mic

For the price this is a fine microphone. Nothing like a Sennheiser or AKG but what do you want for the price. The output is Left and Right. The M/S is the way it works inside to give a different spacial width. I was not impressed either by the different settings. I expected M/S to be output as Mid / Side for external control but I was obviously expecting too much. OK for the price though.

Use your old gear with your new gear

If you have an old VGA monitor you can use this to connect it to you new PC or DVD with a HDMI output. This cable gives stereo audio, VGA video and composite video from any HDMI source. That's it. Simples !
