Go for it - you'll be glad you did
Some great music here, I particularly liked Harps of the Coast and Clefs of Calvalry (whose lead, James Phelps, sounds hauntingly like Sam Cooke). Definitely get this if you are fan of the Golden Age of Gospel; and also consider Vol. 2, which features Wilson Pickett with the Spiritual Five and the Hightower Brothers, among other excellent groups. This pair of CDs is a good collection all by itself.

Better 50s music than you'd hear on radio even then ....
This CD contains great early Detroit doo-wop, Gospel and although the names of groups may or may not be familiar, famous voices are there: Mack Rice (5 Scalders), Violinaires (aka Gales) ... well worth the price for rarities you won't find in vinyl.
