    I bought four phoropters from him on separate occasions. The items were all in excellent condition as described but were also packaged extremely well being fragile ophthalmic equipment. One item was delayed by the USPS but he was quick to reply when I contacted him and in the end the item was delivered. All four of the items I purchased were an excellent value... priced very fair. Highly recommended.

    The 25D Volk lens just arrived. It is in mint condition and looks like it was never used. The lens was packed professionally and arrived sooner than expected. I will definitely purchase additional items from this merchant.

Excellent lens.
The lens is very sharp, corner to corner and wide open (f2.8). It is very small and light (feels about like a potato chip) and the strange hood is very convenient. The cap goes on the hood. Mounting a protective filter does not interfere with the hood. It is an ideal walk about single lens for travel etc. With the full frame high resolution bodies, there is so much detail that you can crop out a very nice portrait from distances usually photographed with an 85 or 100 mm. With an image stabilized body you can take pictures at 1/5 second or or longer which deals with the 2.8 aperture. The focal length is also ideal for an "environmental" portrait, i.e. a person in a setting. On an APS-C camera the framing is equivalent to 52mm. Cartier Bresson found this a convenient focal length. The rest of us could probably manage. In conclusion, I find it a superb lens. With a full frame body, if I could have only one lens, this would be it.
