Amazing addition to my kitchen.
I've been after this piece of equipment for some time due to a workmates recommendation. Now that I have it, I can honestly say that my knife collection is in heaven, or at least I am.
Putting an edge on a blade is, once you've worked at it, quite a simple task & very gratifying also. Keeping that edge there however, is a totally different thing altogether. With just a couple of swipes up & down on the multicut, I can have my blade back to a razor sharp working edge literally in seconds.
No more swiping & checking or setting up & labouring over a whetstone every whenever, tediously fiddling around finding the blade balance. This tool keeps the hard work I've put into getting that razor-sharp edge in place nicely. The handle is very comfortable & the only "concern" I can see is the overall weight of the tool, as it is longer & thicker than other steels. There are ways around that though. These things do cost a bit more than other steels but they last a lifetime (my friend is a butcher & has had his some 20+ years with extensive daily use), so there's yet another bonus. I'd recommend this product to anyone, whether in a professional setting or at home & say further that it's even a good looking item to have about. In short, the F.Dick 7 in 1 multicut sharpening steel is an incredible tool, worth every cent & more...fullstop!!!
PS Do NOT drop this on your tiles or your cat, they will not fare well & you may need to replace both...or just the tiles!😅
