Very reliable
Had one of these for years and decided to get another so I can record two programmes at once. Recordings are encrypted to the individual machine but can be unencrypted and copied to another disk. See hummytv website.

Excellent timer
Easy to set, start and cancel. Can be set to either hours and minute or minutes an seconds. Count up if you miss the end so you know how much you've missed it by. Uses ordinary batteries not the watch type so you can use rechargeables. The ring is loud enough to be heard two rooms away. Price is good.
