My Favourite Band From The Late 80s - Early 90s - Revisited.....
1 von 1 finden das hilfreich I had this cd back in about 1991 when it came out but as what usually happens, our tastes change over time and we listen to other stuff when bands like this split.
However, nearly 30 years later, the current music scene is dire so I've found myself listening to the stuff I listened to during my festival years - The Wonderstuff, Stone Roses, Carter The Unstoppable Sex Machine, and other indie stuff from back in the day.
Buying this album again was strange because I used to have it back then, but a couple of quid from Music Magpie wasn't too bad. Listening to the tracks again for the first time in about 26-27 years I instantly became familiar with them again, and to be honest, I had forgotten how good they sound! Mission Drive, Play, Donation, Inertia.....why did they ever split? I know there's another incarnation of the band but nothing will ever compare to the hot & sweaty JB's Junction 10 or the Bescot Stadium, both places bouncing and full to the rafters.
I really enjoyed listening to this album again and in my opinion it stands up to any of today's music, and sounds as good now as it did then. The next thing for me to do is search eBay for copies of Hup! and Eight Legged Groove Machine......amongst the other bands cd's I'll have to re-buy again 😆

Great CD, can't beat a bit of Simon and Garfunkel, and this CD has the original version of Sounds of Silence which is why I bought the CD.
