Pluses, minus and how I use them
Its touchy to solder. You must follow the instructions with care and focus. What I don't understand is why the outputs for red and yellow aren't 2.0V since that's what most red or yellow LEDs require.
Yah, I know you can add resistors, but it's a pain to do so in small spaces.
This is a great product for lighting a caboose. Thats why I use them. I also suggest buying and installing the capacitors that are recommended in the directions for Keep Alive performance.
Most of my cabooses now have white interior LEDs, a yellow LED in the cupola and a rear facing flashing red LED. They are now easier to follow on my layout for night operations
