Brilliant series!
I have worked my way through the DC Goodhew series to this, the penultimate one. Each of the books can be read on its own as a police procedural but to get the full benefit its even better read in sequence. The characters leap off the page and there is an ongoing mystery running through the books. The best police series I have read in a long time.

Like books? Love this.
You could call this a literary travel book! It takes you to bookshops all over the world, from the opulent to the quirky to the downright strange. They are interspersed with chats with authors, well known and not so well known but all interesting. If you read one or two books a year this is not for you, but a pleasure for those who are drawn to bookshops wherever they are.
