Good but quite electrically noisy.
Regulation is good while input voltage is significantly higher than input voltage. However if the input voltage falls too close (within about 1V), then the output voltage rises to meet it. In principle this will happen every time the input is switched off and may be enough to damage sensitive components. The effect is significantly reduced when higher currents are drawn, so can be alleviated by connecting a parallel resistor which always draws a minimum current (220R for 5V output seems good).
Electrically the output is quite noisy. To be fair milyonline doesn't specify noise or ripple but plenty of other sellers specify ripple at less than 30mV. For the most part noise does indeed seem to be around 20mV but the output contains sharp spikes around 700mVp-p at regular 20uS intervals (50KHz). (Readings very approximate with each spike lasting about 1 sample on my scope.)
Adding output caps makes little or no difference. Adding series ferrites seems to reduce the spikes to around 500mVp-p.
The regulators seem to be working fine in my design but I'd prefer those spikes not to be there.

Excellent cheap user interface.
Obviously some compromise is required versus bespoke interface but the price is hard to beat for a basic ready-to-go interface.
Driving direct requires some study of unclear datasheet but once sorted it's easy to drive, and libraries are available for Arduino.
Excellent.

Great after reprogramming with flashfloppy firmware
Bought for a relic non-IBM computer, this works great after reprogramming with the excellent open-source flashfloppy firmware. Didn't try it as supplied, but flashfloppy is a reasonably easy upgrade (requires suitable programming lead).
