Polyester, not silk
Good tie for the price. Heavier grade than the one they used to sell at Hot Topic. Unfortunately, it's not silk as advertised - it's polyester. It even has a helpful label stating it's polyester if you can't figure it out by touch...

Really thin, for light duty only
This is an extremely thin material tray, not suitable for toting full teapots or thermo-pots. A small plate of cookies or cake and a few teacups would be fine though.

Bespoke JGSDF Fashion Wristwatch (陸上自衛隊 腕時計)
This is an unusual watch that seems to have been a Japan only release. Manufacturer label indicates "Muramatsu Watch M.F.G.," which on internet search brings up the full name as "Ginza Muramatsu Watch and Clock Manufacturing." It appears to be a brand that sells its products in boutiques and shopping malls in Japan with its main marques as "Prince," "Keyford," and "Soro." English language information is very scarce, but it appears the company made identical models of this watch that had other Japanese Self-Defense Force branch logos as well as a more commonly found version with Tezuka Osamu's Atom Boy. All seem to be MSRP around $500 equivalent in JPY.
The watch itself is very solid and has some heft to it, with a solid stainless steel case and a silicone rubber. The deployment clasp is a little unusual as it hooks into holes in the strap to make size adjustments. For someone with smaller wrists the double retention rings come in handy as the excess amount of strap is not flush to the wrist when worn. The movement is clearly labeled as manufactured by Miyota through the exhibition-style back, with some research indicating it is an 8215 movement. The auto-winding pendulum has a nice Japanese flag (hinomaru) and Japan Ground Self-Defense Force rising sun jack (rikujoujieitai no asahi). The watch has no complications and only has an hour/minute/second hand. The movement does not hack (i.e. the mechanism does not stop when the crown is pulled), so you can't synchronize down to the second with other time pieces. That being said, it is unlikely to be an actual watch for tactical operational use and is a fashion watch in honor of the JGSDF. In my case, I purchased the watch to compliment the JGSDF uniform tie, tie bar and cufflink set when I'm in a suit so it works out just fine. For JGSDF impression cosplay or airsoft, I would suggest the Kentex solar or battery powered quartz or even just the Casio G-SHOCK Tough Solar Radio Controlled MULTIBAND 6 GW-8900A-1JF that Japanese JGSDF fans claim is used by members of the actual JGSDF. In reality members aren't issued watches and purchase them with their personal money, so it's all a matter of personal taste.
