A pretty sweet timer once you figure it's trick out!
They are easy to set the time and the program on. They have a nice display (sadly not at all backlit). The problem is they do not turn off.
I have tried a simple program on one of them for channel 1 to turn on at say noon, and off at 2, and the rest of the channels are blank. The timer will turn on at noon, but it will not turn off at 2.
Not very useful. I am going to try doing a full reset yet again, but my initial go round with these things has not been at all positive and I have read and followed the manual.
It is sad, the old mechanical things that I really hated seem to be more reliable.

Follow up: There is an easy to miss but critical step when you program the timer and it will cause the always on situation. When you program the OFF time(s) be sure and specify a day or set of days like you do when you select the ON time. If you do not select any day or days, the timer will never turn off.
Note that the default selection for the days in the off time is none, so it is easy to skip.

Nice heavy plastic

When I read it was in used condition I thought about how it may have been used, and my guess was to cover over cement in a big construction job where they would roll it out and roll it back up again when done. I inspected it when I got it, and this seems to be the case. There is a wee bit of grit on one side, but it is very professionally folded back up and re-rolled. Just like new. I was concerned about any tears as the 100' roll is just enough to cover my greenhouse project, but it appears to be completely intact. I would buy this used again for another outdoor project. The little bit of grit on it may not be good for indoor projects though. And again, I bought this USED not new.

Nice older meter with just one minor drawback
These old HP meters are hard to beat. The LCD is not backlit but I have no issues reading it, and there is very little to go wrong. They have cal factors so no need to even pop the hood to calibrate them. They do 4 wire ohms which is what I needed for accurately testing current shunts. The only thing I am not happy about is they have the old style banana jacks on them that will not take the new shrouded style. You can buy adapters but I don't like them because they stick out of the meter and put torsion on the jack, so I got a set of 24" extensions made and that works perfectly for me. I kind of wanted a 2456 but they are still to pricy and they are also a lot physically larger. This does not take over your entire bench.
