Probably the best of it's type.- But

Underpowered
As Sonos is a US company, when their blurb says "suitable for small to medium rooms" I assumed this was US sized small to medium and not UK. US houses are on average 2.4 time larger than those in the UK so a medium US room is a large UK room. In my room, 27 feet by 14 feet, the Beam was totally lost and a waste of time. Worse still, using an HDMI/ARC connection, it did not play nicely with my Humax recorder and also caused the TV to repeatedly need re-tuning. I sent it back and tried the Playbar which has the power needed, better sound overall and connects with optical cable so plays nicely with everything else. I'm keeping the Playbar despite it's sound quality being way below the performance of the much cheaper play 5 speaker.

Think Again
1 von 3 finden das hilfreich The copy I bought was disappointing to say the least and after independent testing found it was faulty I sent it back. But it got me thinking, do I really want this size and bulk, and are these lenses really that good as to justify the inconvenience? So I hired one this time (a good copy) along with the f 4 version to compare them side by side. Result? The f 2.8 worked as it should but frankly I found the f 4 a better lens for what mattered to me.
f 4: cheaper, lighter, smaller, better and quieter VR, fast and accurate auto focusing on my d750, well built, works very well with the TC17E 2 teleconverter. (on a d750 that is), and slightly sharper if you're pixel peeping at 200%.
f 2.8: one stop advantage in low light, very marginally better bokeh, built like a tank which made it feel dated, and that's it.
So, since the d750 is so fantastic at high ISO's I bought the 70-200mm f4 VR G ED AF-S Lens instead and am delighted with it.
