The most useful device of this decade.
The Philips Hue does what it is designed to do and does it well. It is easy to set up, it is quite small and unobtrusive. The sensitivity is adjustable.
It comes with a magnet that slots into the back of the device so you can easily attach it to a household appliance such as a washing machine or fridge. I have attached one to my fridge so that as I walk into a dark kitchen it turns on the kitchen light automatically. It is set low so that my cat activates it and she can eat her feed at night with the light turned on to 50% brightness. I also have one set up so that it illuminates my path to the bathroom in the middle of the night.
Overall, a great, reliable device which will have applications you haven't thought of yet.
