Nice inexpensive way to get iPlayer, ITV Hub, 4-O-D and You Tube on your TV
4 von 5 finden das hilfreich I was looking at the Amazon Fire Stick but it is twice the money. This gives you access to the same for less. I think it is a little slower than the Fire Stick but for my purposes it is fine. On set up it did ask for a credit card but I didn't enter the card details and it still allowed me on. I don't like putting in card details as my 6 and 9 yr olds have a habit of buying things unintentionally. If I ever get the time to watch a movie is does have lots of pay options. You Tube is great except it takes a while to type in searches, which I guess is a problem with all sticks.

My only gripes are it spent the first few days updating Windows, which slowed it down significantly and kept the hard drive spinning loudly all the time. I'd like to think that the Windows edition it came with was up to date. Also the updates add more junk to the system and slow it down more. Secondly it only has an HDMI socket for connection to a monitor. My other Acer has VGA socket as well which is very useful. Thirdly, it still comes with bloatware, like free Office that stops working in a month. I have removed all of these as I prefer to load what I want not what a salesman wants me to buy.
That said, I love the laptop. It is really good value for money, has a fast processor and a decent battery. It is probably the best value entry level laptop on the market.
