Brand new and works perfectly.
This is a brand new replacement for the lens that came with my NX500 camera 4 years ago. It works perfectly and makes the camera itself seem new again as well, with clear, bright images. Very happy with this product.

Quality camera that won't weigh you down
After owning the Samsung NX1000 for two years (an entry-level mirror-less system camera), I was looking for a similar camera with faster response time and even better picture quality...quality that would approach a high-end DSLR camera. The NX500 is that camera for me. Its way faster than my NX1000. Even though I save both RAW and JPEG, I never end up waiting to take the next picture. It's also a step up in quality over the NX1000 (which also produce very good pictures.) With the 16-50mm Power Zoom lens with Optical Image Stabilization (OIS), I'm getting the higher quality pictures that I want. While both cameras have APS-C sensors, the NX500 is a BSI version and produces very nice low-light pictures using ISO up to 6400. I've recently been very happy with pictures I've taken outdoors at night of Christmas lighting on shops along streets in Breckenridge CO, using the Shutter mode at 1/40 sec and letting the camera choose the ISO (usually about 3200).
I've also been very happy with using the Aperture mode at about F11 for daytime scenery shots that keep most of the view in focus. I'm definitely looking forward to trying this camera with the NX30 primary lens which also has very good reviews. I'm already very close to the quality I want the 16-50mm lens and believe the 30mm should get me the rest of the way there! It might not quite reach the level of my friends Canon 7D, but it's close and I'm not willing to carry that much weight around!

Great Zoom Capability
Samsung provides a variety of long zoom lenses for this camera, up to 200mm. Just check out their site! They have 16-50mm OIS zoom, 20-50mm non-OIS zoom, 50-200mm OIS zoom, and a 16-200mm zoom lens with a quiet motor made especially for the movie-maker.
