Super sharp, fast, natural images
I can only compare this to the XC16-50 kit that came with my XT10, and my 18mm f2 (which I love). I bought a mint example for the price of a brand new 35f2. I find the 53mm focal length very versatile.
Images are super sharp and very naturally rendered. Depth of field and subject separation is a strong point on this lens. It feels good on the camera and it's very nicely built. Some say the focus is slow, particularly when compared to the f2 version, but it's a stop faster anyway and focuses faster than the 18mm so I'm happy with that.
